They’ll also supplement their diet with other animals that live in or around the water, including frogs, turtles, lizards, snakes, reptiles, and rodents. They like lungfish, catfish, tilapia, and bichirs. They are also known to feed on small crustaceans such as snails and slugs. The main part of their carnivorous diet consists of lungfish (Protopterus), bichirs (Polypterus), catfish, and other small fish. Shoebill storks spend most of their time foraging in aquatic environments.
